Important Information For Residents

The Mayor and City Council are interested in receiving letters of interest and qualifications from qualified electors to fill an upcoming Rose Hill City Council vacancy.  It is the intent of the Mayor and City Council to make the appointment on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.  If successful, the newly appointed member of the council will be sworn in on Monday, February 2, 2026. The City Council term expires January of 2028.  To be eligible to serve, persons must be a registered voter and a resident of Rose Hill.  The Mayor makes the appointment, subject to City Council consent.  Appointment consideration will be in a public meeting, and letters of interest/qualification will be open for review by the public.  Please submit your letter of interest/qualifications by 5:00 p.m., on January 5, 2026, to:  City Clerk at City Hall at 125 N.
