Rose Hill is a fast-growing community of approximately 4,269 residents as of 2021. We are situated in the southwestern corner of Butler County; a quick 15-minute drive to east Wichita. The atmosphere is friendly and boasts a high level of commitment and volunteerism from its residents.

  • School System

    Our City is extremely proud of its school system, USD #394. Our 4-A school district serves more than 1,800 students in South Central Kansas. The Rose Hill school system has an excellent reputation and receives great community and parental support.

  • Community College

    Butler Community College has a Rose Hill facility adjacent to the Rose Hill High School at 710 S Rose Hill Rd. This facility provides college credit courses.

  • Senior Citizen Center

    Rose Hill has a very active senior organization with a facility located at 217 E Silknitter.

  • Rose Hill Recreation Commission

    City Hall

    City Hall and the Police Department are located at 125 W Rosewood. This facility houses the administrative, building/zoning/planning, water, and police department. The office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Our telephone numbers are 316-776- 2712 (City) and 316-776-0191 (Police).

  • City Council & Planning Commission Meetings

    Residents of Rose Hill are invited to attend the City Council and Planning Commission Meetings. The City Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Rose Hill City Hall (125 W Rosewood).
